The Benefits of eating Dates and "Date-Palms is mentioned about 20 times in the Quran", Dates have the power of Protection from Poison and Black Magic and it makes Shaytan Sad eating Eat fresh and Dried Dates together. The benefits of dates include relief from constipation, intestinal disorders, heart problems, anemia, sexual dysfunction, diarrhea, abdominal cancer, and many other conditions.

The Prophet-(s) used to break his fast by eating some "Ripe Dates" and if were not available, he would eat "Dried Dates" if they were not available he would substitute them with some "Dried Grapes". If they too were not available, he used to have a few sips of water, according to some reports. If anyone of you is fasting, let him break his fast with Dates. In case he does not have them, then with water. Verily water is a purifier."

From Quran; "And from the fruits of Date-Palms and Grapes, you derive strong drink and a goodly provision. Verily, therein is indeed a sign for people who have wisdom" (Surah An-Nahl 16:67). Sayyidah Mariam mother of Jesus (a.s) had "Ripe Dates" as her food when she felt labour pains and during confinement. She was told to: ”Shake the trunk of the palm towards you and fresh, ripe dates will drop down onto you.”(19: 23).

The Wisdom of breaking fast with "Ripe Dates"

The Prophet (S) used to break his fast, he used to eat first ripe or dry dates, or would drink some water. This is a wise decision, because fasting empties the stomach of food. Thus the liver would not find any sufficient energy that it could transfer to the various organs.

Sweets are the fastest food to reach the liver and are favored by the liver, especially when one eats ripe dates, in which case the liver accepts it even more favorably, benefits from it and then transfers the benefit to the rest of the organs of the body.

If there are no ripe dates available, one should eat dried dates because they are sweet and nutritious. Otherwise some sips of water would extinguish the heat of the stomach and the Past: The stomach‘s appetite would then increase and become ready to accept (and digest) food.

The Sunnah of eating dates and No Poison and Black Magic:

Whoever eats 7 Date fruits of the high land “Medina Munawwarah” in the morning, no poison or sorcery shall hurt him that day.

The Prophet (s) used to combine dates with bread sometimes. At other times he mixed "Ripe Dates with Cucumber", or Dates combined with ghee-(butter). He used to take all varieties of dates, but he preferred the variety called "Ajwah".

The Prophet-(s) said, ‘Eat fresh and dried dates, because Satan gets sad when he sees the son of Adam eating them, so he says ‘The son of Adam has lived until (now) he eats the fresh and the old together’. - An-Nasai and Ibn Majah narrated in their Sunan.

"And thereby He brings forth for you crops, and olives, and palms, and vines, and all kinds of fruit. Surely in that is a sign for a people who reflect." (Quran An-Nahl, 16:11)

Dates are excellent for Women!
Especially for menstruating women. . .
Fresh Palm Dates

Women have more risk of developing Iron deficiency due to their regular menstrual cycles. Losing iron means you`re losing haemoglobin in your blood so women must make sure they have enough iron in their diet to balance the regular iron loss. Dates are packed with iron, so eat them to avoid the risk of developing Iron deficiency.

4 types of Dates:
1. Busr(Green Dates) ;
2. Tamr(Dried dates)
3. Rutab(Ripe Dates)
4. Ajwah(Pressed dried Dates).

Dried dates are adviced to be eaten with fresh dates rather than Green dates as Fresh dates are cold and dry while dried dates are hot and Humid, thus neutralizing the effects of each other. On the other hand, green and dried dates are both Hot, although dried dates are more Hot. Medically, its better to avoid eating two types of foods that incline towards either hotness of coldness.

1.Balah (Fresh Dates) are cold and dry and they benefit the mouth, the gums and the stomach. Yet, Dates are not beneficial for chest and lungs because of their coarseness. Also, the Dates are difficult to digest and are not very nutritional. The example of fresh dates is the example of unripe dates, as both cause flatulence and bloating, especially when one drinks water after eating dates. To Neutralize these sides effects, one should eat them with dried dates, or honey and butter.

2.Busr (Green dates) are hot and dry, and its dryness is more than its hotness. Also, the Busr dries out excess moisture, coats the stomach, relaxes the bowels and helps the gums and mouth. The most beneficial type pf Busr are the sweet and tender ones. Yet, eating excessive amounts of Busr regularly causes obstructions or clogs in the intestines.

3.Tamr (Dried Dates) strengthen the liver, relax the bowels, increase semen production, specially when taken with pine, and relieve soar throat. As of those who are not used to eating dried dates, Tamr cause them clogs, harm the teeth and cause headaches, unless they are eaten with almonds and poppy.

These dates are among the Nutritional fruits. Although Tamr are hot, they have the antidote against the worms, killing them or atleast decreasing them in number; if eaten at the beginning of the day(especially when taken in empty stomach).
Dried dates are a fruit, a type of food, a cure, a drink and a sweet.

4.Eating "Ripe Dates" and giving Birth.
Sayyidah Mariam (the Virgin Mary) mother of Jesus (sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) had dates as her food when she felt labour pains.

Experiments have also shown that dates contain some stimulants that strengthen the muscles of the uterus in the last months of pregnancy.

This helps the dilation of the uterus at the time of delivery on one hand and reduces the bleeding after delivery on the other.

Dieticians consider dates as the best food for women in confinement and those who are breast-feeding. This is because dates contain elements that assist in alleviating depression in mothers and enriching the breast-milk with all the elements needed to make the child healthy and resistant to disease.

The Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) has emphasized the importance of dates and their effectiveness in the growth of the fetus. He has also recommended they be given to women.

Children suffering from a nervous nature or hyperactivity

Modern dietary institute now recommend dates to be given to children suffering from a nervous nature or hyperactivity. The Prophet ((sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam)) has also recommended dates as a medicine for heart troubles, according to some reports. Modern science has also proved the effectiveness of date, in preventing diseases of the respiratory system.

Dates are rich in several vitamins and minerals. When the level of trace elements falls in the body, the health of the blood vessels is affected leading to an increased heart-rate and a consequent inability to perform its function with normal efficiency. As dates are also rich in calcium, they help strengthen the bones. When the calcium content in the body decreases, children are affected with rickets and the bones of adults become brittle and weak.

This morning at Fajr while studying my "Healing with Medicine of Prophet (s) Book" I found an answer to a question I was asked, which was how to you Increase Semen or increase the production semen and the answer from the book was to eat "Ripe Dates" as they are good for Sexual Weakness and Increasing Semen and Fertility.

I was asked this question and have found the answer how to Increase Semen. "Ripe Dates" are good Sexual Weakness and Increasing Semen and Fertility.

"Ripe Dates" are just like water, hot and wet, and they are favourable for and strengthen the cold stomach, increase the production of semen and fertility, are suitable for cold temperaments and are very nutritious.

Ripe dates are the best types of fruit for the people of Al-Madinah specially and for all others in general where ripe dates grow. It is also a very beneficial fruit for the body, although ripe dates spoil quickly in the stomach of those who are not used to eating them and thus produce putrid blood. Also, eating excessive amounts of ripe dates cause headaches and black bile and also harms the teeth.

Sexual Weakness: Studies have shown that dates are even beneficial for increasing sexual stamina. Soak a handful of dates in fresh goat’s milk over night, then grind them in the same milk with a mixture of cardamom powder and honey.

This mixture becomes a very useful tonic for increasing sexual endurance and reducing sterility caused by various sexual disorders. The science behind this phenomenon is largely due to traditional usage which stimulated formal research. In 2006, Bahmanpour studied the effects of date palms and their oil on sexual functioning and found that the high levels of estradiol and flavonoid components of dates are what increase sperm count and motility, as well as promoting increased testes size and weight. So, if you are looking for a masculine boost, eat some dates, because they are a great natural aphrodisiac!
